Digital art is a pass time that allows me to bridge the gap between imagination and reality. From bold colours to intricate designs, every illustration is an opportunity to express ideas, emotions, and a piece of myself. This collection represents my passion for storytelling through visual creativity and my curiosity for exploring something new.
Take a scroll through my digital art portfolio and maybe you'll find something that captures your curiosity.
Colour is at the heart of everything I create. For me, projects excite me the most when they are full of colour and I am able to experiment - even if I end up dialing things back eventually, I enjoy experimenting with possibilities. My illustrations begin as a playground, sparked by a simple idea that may come out of nowhere. One day, I hope to get to a place where I can translate exactly what I see in my brain to something tangible I can share with the world.
I love the idea of exploring characters and I think in many ways my self-portraits allow me to put myself into scenes as a character of my choosing. I have also been writing a children's book, and so I believe character development is going to become more prevalent in my future digital illustrations.
Illustration is definitely an adventure - long or short, winding or straight to the point, there is an opportunity for every mood and feeling. Each piece begins as a spark of curiosity, often inspired by the world around me or dug up from the corners of my imagination. Through my work, I explore themes like identity, surrealism, and self-expression, transforming simple concepts into more detailed visual narratives.
This process of exploration is where my creativity thrives. Whether it’s testing new techniques, merging unexpected elements, or stepping out of my comfort zone, I strive to push my artistic boundaries. Art is a journey of learning and evolving, and every piece reflects a step forward in my personal growth as a creator.
My art often draws from themes of human emotion, whimsy, and individuality, creating pieces that are both personal and universal. But at the end of the it all, I want to create art for myself and if someone can resonate with it, that is a win but it is not the purpose. Deep in my soul I know I am drawn to creating - whether it's a digital illustration I can share online, or something I can physically create with my hands and hide in a box for nobody to ever see, art is in the process of creating.
